He eventually transitioned into classical guitar, which he studied for eight years. Now, Sam mostly enjoys genres such as Jazz, R&B, Blues, Folk and Rock, as these are reflected in his teaching. He studied music production and performance at the University of Indiana for two years, and can be caught playing with a handful of music groups in Louisville as well as playing solo.

Reed Adams

Reed is an exceptional guitarist. He has taught for the Crestwood Music Shop for three years, and loves doing it. He enjoys inspiring his students to be creative and put together their own songs. He enjoys artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, and Sublime.

At a young age, he built his foundation on guitar with one-on-one lessons with Clay Keibler for four years working through songs and focusing on his physical techniques. After Clay passed, he transitioned to other instructors with a heavy influence in Blues, and degrees in Jazz and Classical guitar performance. He’s dug deep into the intricacies of music theory and how that applies to the fretboard, and this is seen in his original songs.
